Culinary Showcase: Elevating the Singaporean Food Festival Experience with Halal Food

In 2022, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) collaborated with TRC, alongside a strategic partnership with Have Halal, Will Travel (HHWT), to enhance their engagement strategy, supporting the goals of the Singapore Food Festival (A Singaporean Government Initiative). TRC’s “Together at the Table” event emerged as a pivotal initiative, seamlessly integrating private dining experiences, masterclasses, and curated festival activities to showcase the most diverse and delicious flavors of Singapore, alongside celebrating the city-state’s creative culinary talents – all emphasising Halal cuisine. This initiative aims to get Singaporeans and travellers alike, regardless of race and religion to sit together at the table, to appreciate and enjoy Singapore cuisine.

Strategic Objectives:

The collaboration aimed to bolster the Singapore Tourism Board’s outreach, elevate the festival’s experience, and celebrate Singapore’s culinary diversity. TRC’s innovative approach played a crucial role in achieving these supportive objectives, partnering with HHWT, the largest travel and lifestyle platform for Muslims in Asia, with a monthly reach of just shy of 10 million through their media platforms.

Halal Focus:

With a primary focus on the halal food market, TRC took strategic measures to curate experiences that were Muslim-friendly, ensuring the inclusivity of the festival. From private dining experiences to masterclasses, special care was taken to offer a diverse range of halal options, creating an environment where individuals from all walks of life could gather “Together at the Table.”

Execution Highlights:

TRC, in partnership with HHWT, conceptualized and designed a microwebsite for the festival, hosted on HHWT’s platform, providing a centralized hub for a seamless user experience. A strategic partnership with a main ticketing partner, in conjunction with HHWT, amplified marketing efforts through social media and EDM engagement, driving ticket sales and expanding the reach of the Singapore Tourism Board’s culinary aspirations.

Creative Marketing and Content Creation:

Taking charge of content creation, TRC, in collaboration with HHWT, produced short videos showcasing festival highlights and engaged micro-influencers to cover the event. This dynamic content not only captivated the audience but also fueled the Singapore Tourism Board’s online marketing and sales pages through strategically designed banners.

The success story extends beyond creativity to fiscal responsibility. TRC efficiently managed the festival’s budget, in tandem with HHWT, ensuring optimal resource allocation and maximizing the impact of the culinary showcase.
